Guide rolls wear fastest at the edges and in the web contact zone. Coating extends roll life by several times compared with an uncoated steel surface, and damaged rolls can be rebuilt to original diameter instead of being replaced.
The footage shows the roll rotating on the spray station while the coating is applied to an even thickness. Final diameter, roughness and hardness are measured and reported with every order.
