Corundum Setter Plate Zirconia Coating Line
This production line sprays dense zirconia (ZrO2) coatings onto corundum (alumina) setter plates and graphite bearing plates used in high-temperature sintering furnaces, providing thermal insulation and preventing sintered parts from sticking.
Pretreatment process
- Grit blasting with 60–70 mesh white corundum, 0.5–0.6 MPa
- Uniform surface roughening without damaging the plate edges
- Abrasive recycling system for low running cost
Spray parameters (300 × 300 mm / 300 × 440 mm plates)
- Voltage 35–40 V, current 630–640 A
- Primary gas (Ar) 25–33 L/min, H2 2–3 L/min
- Powder feed gas 5–8 L/min, feed voltage 6.5–8.0 V
- 20–25 g powder deposited per plate
Results
Coated setter plates withstand repeated high-temperature cycles, keep sintered workpieces flat and clean, and can be re-blasted and re-sprayed for years of service. The same line configuration has been delivered to nearly 20 cemented-carbide plants across China.
